Gretchen Kreizenbeck, MD

Gretchen Kreizenbck, MDDr. Gretchen Kreizenbeck is originally from Deadwood, South Dakota and has been a resident of Connecticut for the last eight years.  She graduated as valedictorian of her high school class, and pursued her undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame.  She graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biochemistry in 2003 and received both the Merck Index and Student Leadership awards.

While at Yale School of Medicine, she accepted the Max Kade Clinical Clerkship to allow study in Salzburg, Austria. She graduated in 2007 as a Yale Farr Scholar, and she chose to remain in New Haven to complete her internship at the Yale Primary Care Program through Waterbury and Yale-New Haven hospitals. She completed her residency in dermatology with the Yale Dermatology Residency Program after completing a brief elective at the University of San Francisco through an award received from the Women’s Dermatologic Society Mentorship program.

She achieved board certification through the American Board of Dermatology in 2011.

Dr. Kreizenbeck will have privileges at Danbury and New Milford Hospitals and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and Women’s Dermatologic Society. 

Her dermatologic specialties include adult and pediatric medical dermatology (including acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, and skin cancer screening and treatment), surgical excisions; and cosmetic procedures including Botox, fillers, and laser therapy for treatment of hair reduction and unwanted blood vessels.
